Welcome back!

Dear St. James’ families,
Welcome back to the start of the next half of a wonderful school year. We started off with a bang, so to speak, with the electricity going off at school around 9:50 on Wednesday morning. What some of you may not know is that our TK class was headed downstairs from playball and had just entered the elevator, the doors had closed, when the electricity went off. Luckily, with Ms. Angela inside and Coach D on the outside, each talking to the children and playing games with them, the children were able to cope with being in a very tough situation for quite a while.
Our Sandy Springs Fire Department came to the rescue and were able to unlock the door and get the children out safely. The children needless to say were very hot and thirsty having been cooped up in that space. In spite of this predicament, they were troopers and Ms. Angela kept them distracted with songs, games and stories and the light on her phone. We thank those firefighters from the bottom of our hearts for rescuing our precious children from a very scary incident.
Thank you to all of you who have turned your registration forms in. Jenny and I appreciate it.
If you are applying out please remember that teacher evaluation forms need to be sent to me first. I will then in turn send them to the teachers. This is to ensure that there is a record of incoming and outgoing evaluations.
We look forward to a great week. Thank you for sharing your children with us and allowing us to love, nurture, and teach them.
