Teacher Appreciation Week

Dear St. James Families,

We have the best Preschool community! I came into the Preschool this morning to work on this message and looked down the hall. To my surprise there were many parents inside the building decorating doors for the teachers to see upon their arrival in the morning. They are all so cute and the creativity is outstanding. We  are so blessed to have you as part our one big family. Without you, the Preschool just wouldn’t be the same. So  thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dates to remember

Feb.- 28-  Walk in Wed., Parent Chapel with Dr. Landry, NOON dismissal for Teacher appreciation Luncheon

March 4-8  Winter Break
March 15- Contracts and other forms due.

Housekeeping

1. Parents please do the Preschool and the Church a favor by not pushing  the doorbell repeatedly or for a long time. We try very hard to answer promptly, but because of the nature of school itself, we are constantly in motion.  Therefore sometimes our response is delayed. I appreciate your help with this. Thank you.

2. I have also attached the Parent Calendar for the rest of the year. If there are any changes we will do our best to let you know. In additon, if you have any questions please feel free to call me or Jenny.

3. The best way to know what is happening in the preschool is to read the writeups for all of the Specials going on in the school as well as the teachers’ newsletters that they send you each weekend.  I truly believe that by reading all of those you  will be confident that your children are getting the best learning experience.

4. We have had about 40 responses to the survey. For accreditation purposes the  agency COGNIA,  requires about 1/3 of our families to respond. We just need about 12 more to meet the standard. Please spend some time letting us know how you feel, especially during this Teacher Appreciation Week.

Have a great rest of your Sunday and thank you again for allowing us to love and teach your children.

With gratitude for all of our blessings,

Susan Viers
