News & Updates

Our Silent Auction is Amazing!

Dear St. James families,

1.  Enrollment for next year–Current families who have registered for next year and paid the $150 registration fee are automatically enrolled for next year. You will not receive an acceptance letter. However, families who are enrolling siblings will receive an acceptance letter acknowledging the sibling as a new student. Families will receive a notice reminding everyone of a $350 tuition deposit due on March 15th as well as the need to fill out  all of the enrollment documents that are online; namely, emergency form, general history form, Waiver of liability, COVID waiver, carpool agreement as well as physician form.

2. Inclement Weather-In the case of Inclement weather St. James Preschool follows APS  for the first day of closing. After that, the decision to close will be made by the Director or Assistant Director and a message on Brightwheel will be sent out as an alert to let you know if we will be closed that day.

3. OT screenings for 3 year olds and above- New this year -St. James Preschool is offering an opportunity for OT screenings. They will occur on the 23rd and 24th. The fee is $45 dollars.
If your child has difficulty with handwriting, fine, gross, or visual motor skills, or in sensory processing or your teacher has suggested that you take advantage of this opportunity, please sign up via the form in your child’s backpack.

4.  As some of you know St. James Preschool cannot operate solely on the fees that come from tuition. It takes events like the Silent Auction, which we do every 2 years, and St. James Club to help the school provide extra needed items and experiences that those fees just don’t cover. Some of those past items have been the Playground and updates to it such as the extra swings and climbing wall, the edible classroom or outdoor classroom and garden,Makerspace studio, ipads and laptops for the teachers who don’t have computers or service at home, and Financial aid that we provide to families who need it– to name a few. Through your generous donations and attendance at the auction we are able to accomplish  the goals we have for our classes. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Stay warm and thank you for allowing us to teach and love your children. I am sending a separate message with all of the Specials updates for last week.
