Here Comes December!

Dear St. James’ families,
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday celebrating with family and friends. The children at St. James had feasts in many of the classrooms creating our version of the very first Thanksgiving. It was heartwarming to see all of them dressed as the first guests at that dinner while sampling turkey, mac and cheese, and some sort of pumpkin pie.The children also were able to encounter and engage in learning about the Indigenous peoples, the first Thanksgiving and the pilgrims.
Thank you to all of you who donated to our veterans so that we could introduce Veterans Day to them and how much they do for us.
This month we will focus on how the Holidays are celebrated around the world in our Culture Inclusion room.
The holidays will be upon us shortly and we look forward to putting on our Christmas program with the young 3’s through Kindergarten performing. It’s always such a joy and a lovely way to finish out December and celebrate with our families once again.
Registration is still going on at school so please turn in your forms to the office soon.
I look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow.
With gratitude for all of you and your children,
Susan Viers
